Strictly Come Dancing has made its much-anticipated return to screens to fill the Saturday night slot in the run up to Christmas. Fans of the BBC dance contest have now been introduced to each of the 15 celebrities who are in the running to take home the Glitterball trophy this year.
Last night's launch show saw each famous face paired up with their professional partner, who will show them the ropes in the hopes of guiding them through to the final, under the watchful eyes of judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke.
Amongst the stars hoping to win over the judges is actor and West End star Layton Williams, who is best known on TV for playing Stephen Carmichael in Bad Education. The 28-year-old, who is from Bury, made his Strictly debut last night and has since clapped back at criticism over his participation in the show.

It comes as the celebrities showed off their skills for the first time last night as they performed their first group dance together, along with their partners.
