Fire crews still at the scene of the Station Hotel are on weather watch tonight – as Storm Agnes batters Ayr.

High winds are expected to sweep through the town with flood alerts already issued earlier by SEPA.
The Station Hotel was previously deemed structurally unsafe before the inferno ripped through the relic on Monday evening.
Previously high winds have battered the historic hotel leading to holes appearing in the white protective sheeting draped over the building.
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “As part of our ongoing response to this incident, we will continue to monitor the weather warning in place across Scotland.
“Crews are likely to remain on scene throughout today and tomorrow.”
A Council spokesperson said: “The fire at the former Ayr Station Hotel is an ongoing incident and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland remain on the scene. We will continue to work closely with the Emergency Services and our Building Standards team will assess the structural integrity of the building when it is safe to do so.”
