She recently welcomed her baby daughter Minnie with boyfriend Kevin Clifton – but Stacey Dooley’s TV career definitely isn’t on hold. Documentary maker Stacey, 35, who started dating Kevin, 40, several months after they won Strictly Come Dancing together in 2018, gave birth to their little girl last month. They announced the news on their Instagram pages, with Stacey writing: “Our daughter is here.
My little masterpiece! I’m completely obsessed. Love you Minnie, Love you Kev x.“ Proud Kevin added: “Our daughter is here.The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. So proud of you @sjdooley.
Love you Minnie, Love you Stace x.” The professional dancer also revealed that a recording of Strictly Come Dancing singer Tommy Blaize performing My Girl was playing when Minnie was born. Since then Stacey has been pictured out with her mum Di, who’s been helping her daughter adjust to motherhood while Kevin is on the road with the Strictly Ballroom: The Musical tour. And while Stacey is raving about Minnie being her greatest masterpiece, she’s also delighted to be launching a brand new series of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA.
Stacey filmed the documentary in America while she was expecting Minnie. “I was actually pregnant when we were filming, and I had just stopped feeling sick!” confides the star. On the show, Stacey stays in the home of her interviewees so she can really understand their unorthodox way of life.
Although she embraced all things American, she kept a “sacred box” of tea bags with her, even though her pregnancy meant she had to limit her caffeine intake. “I was allowed one cup of tea a day and I had this sacred box of Yorkshire tea bags that I carried everywhere with me,” says Stacey. “Americans are amazing in so many
