Spider-Man 2 has the opportunity to be the biggest game of the year! After a great launch in 2018 for the first installment and another in 2020 for Miles Morales this PlayStation 5 exclusive is destined for greatness. Now, the hype is at an all-time high for any Spider-Man content thanks to Across The Spider-Verse. There was also the recent gameplay trailer for Spider-Man 2 at the PlayStation Showcase. A superhero game wouldn’t be anything without some iconic villains to go alongside it.
Spider-Man 2018 brought out the classics with Doc Oc, Rhino, Vulture, Electro, and Scorpion. Myles Morales also had Rhino running about. With that being said, what villains could we see in Spider-Man 2?According to GameRant.com, the first villain confirmed for Spider-Man 2 is Kraven The Hunter.
One of the webhead’s oldest foes, Kraven is an expert hunter and tracker. He also has some pretty scary hand-to-hand combat skills. Kraven lives for the hunt and will stop at nothing to kill what he deems his prey. Next up on the list is The Lizard.
The Lizard is the unfortunate fate of Dr. Curt Conners. While trying to regrow his lost limb with reptile DNA, Conners turned himself into a giant Lizard.
With that giant creature running around New York City it is possible that this is what grabs the attention of Kraven The Hunter. Last but certainly not least, we have the most famous and anticipated villain in the Spider-Man universe. Venom is confirmed for Spider-Man 2. It is seen in the gameplay trailer that Peter Parker will at one point wear the Symbiote suit.

Murtada Elfadl “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” has resonated with audiences in almost as many ways as there are multiverses. There’s the emotionality of webslinger Miles Morales and his family, both inherited and found, that drives his heroism. The thematic resonance of a young person determined to tell his own story authentically. Action sequences that are as inventive as they are viscerally thrilling. And audacious animation that juxtaposes dynamic poses and painterly images. This multidimensional success of “Across the Spider-Verse” can be directly attributed to its three directors, Kemp Powers, Joaquim Dos Santos and Justin K. Thompson — indeed, to the fact that there are three. Set to receive Variety’s Creative Impact in Animation Award on July 18, the trio leaned into individual strengths while working together toward a common goal, balancing formal innovation and timeless truths to create a forward-thinking animated classic.
