A police officer has escaped with a written warning after being caught speeding at 112mph on a motorway while off-duty.
The constable faced an internal GMP disciplinary hearing in May where they were reprimanded but allowed to keep their job.
The disciplinary action against the unnamed cop was revealed in a regular bulletin of 'misconduct outcomes' just published by GMP, revealing action taken against a number of rogue officers between April and June this year.

No other details about the speeding officer were revealed in the document apart from the fact he appeared at an internal 'misconduct meeting' on May 22 which, unlike more serious misconduct hearings, are not held in public. It stated action was taken against them because they had been handed a 'conviction for speeding by driving 112mph on a motorway off duty'.
It did not reveal what sanction the court handed out - a driving ban and a substantial fine is normally imposed for anyone caught doing more than 100mph.
Other disciplinary action revealed in the bulletin included a sergeant who was handed a final written warning for using 'abusive, intimidating, harassing, bullying, and humiliating behaviour and language' towards a PC while sending texts that were 'negative and derogatory' to another.
Another sergeant was dismissed without notice after they received a criminal conviction over 'data protection and computer misuse'.
Another cop was sacked following a conviction for drink driving and another was dismissed following a conviction for animal cruelty, according to the bulletin.
