Soccer Aid is back for another year, with two teams made up of celebrities and former professional players taking part in the charity match.
The game returns to Manchester and will be held at Old Trafford for the first time since 2020 when it was held behind closed doors due to the pandemic. Now in its 12th year, donations from Soccer Aid go to Unicef with money used to help give kids the best start in life.
Among those lining up for World XI this year is Sam Claflin. The actor, 36, first played for Soccer Aid back in 2019.

He most recently played Billy Dunne in the Amazon Prime Video series Daisy Jones and the Six. Sam also portrayed Oswald Mosley in Peaky Blinders, Mycroft Holmes in Netflix's Enola Holmes and Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games.
He was also in the films Me Before You, Adrift and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The actor trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, graduating in 2009.
He shares two children with ex-wife Laura Haddock born in December 2015, and a daughter born in February 2018.
Previously, he told the PA news agency: “As a football fan growing up, the dream of playing at the Theatre of Dreams is always on my bucket list so to have the opportunity to tread those blades of grass with some Manchester United legends, and legends of the game, it’s going to be momentous.
“I’m excited to be playing with Roberto Carlos, the last time I played he was against me and the same goes for Usain Bolt. So having the opportunity to play alongside them this time, the fastest man in the world and the greatest left back ever to walk the earth, will be a joy.”
