Skrillex (aka Sonny Moore) has announced a monumental one-off show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, where he’ll perform for a mind-boggling five hours.Similar to his recent gig at Madison Square Garden in New York – where he DJ’d alongside recent collaborators Fred Again.. and Four Tet – Moore will hit the decks at 7pm, delivering tunes from then until midnight.
The show is set to go down on Saturday April 29, with tickets available here at 10am this Friday (March 31). Reviewing the New York show (which sold out in a matter of minutes), NME’s Erica Campbell wrote that Moore and co. “[wooed] the crowd into a frenzy with ingenious mixes like a high-octane version of Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story’ and a fresh take on the formidable dancefloor banger, ‘Return Of The Mack’ by Mark Morrison”.Moore’s current string of touring comes in support of his recent second and third albums, ‘Quest For Fire’ and ‘Don’t Get Too Close’, which arrived one day apart back in February.

Royal Blood have announced two intimate warm-up shows ahead of their upcoming UK and European tour.The shows will take place at Nottingham’s Rock City on May 26 and Newcastle’s O2 City Hall on June 21 – giving fans the chance to see the band in a more intimate setting before they play a series of festivals and stadium support slots with Muse this summer.Both of the newly announced venues have a capacity of approximately 2,000, with tickets on sale on sale from 10am this Thursday (April 6) and available here.The duo – which is comprised of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher – will then embark on a series of live performances throughout the UK and Europe throughout the summer. Seymour Stein, the founder of Sire Records, who helped launch the career of pop icon Madonna, has died at the age of 80, his family have announced. Along with launching the careers of a number of hugely successful artists, Seymour helped found the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation and was himself inducted into the Rock Hall in 2005.
Charna Flam A roof collapse at the Apollo Theater in Belvidere, Ill. left at least one concertgoer dead and dozens more injured on Friday evening. The Apollo Theater was hosting “The United States of Terror” tour, headlined by four heavy metal bands — Crypta, Revocation, Skeletal Remains and Morbid Angel. After Crypta’s set, the venue made an announcement that the show would need to take a brief pause before Morbid Angel took the stage, due to the ongoing extreme weather conditions. Minutes after the initial announcement, the full roof collapsed on top of the concertgoers, per the New York Times. The venue was hosting roughly 260 patrons. More than 40 people were hospitalized, with five people suffering severe injuries. At least one person died in the incident. Belvidere Fire Chief Shawn Schadle reported that two of those impacted are suffering with life-threatening injuries.

Selome Hailu Eddie Redmayne has been cast in “The Day of the Jackal,” Peacock and Sky’s upcoming reimagining of Frederick Forsyth’s novel and Universal’s film of the same name. He will also executive produce the thriller series. Redmayne will play the Jackal, who is hired by the OAS, a French dissident organization, to kill then-president of France Charles de Gaulle. Redmayne recently starred opposite Jessica Chastain in Netflix’s “The Good Nurse.” He is also known for playing Stephen Hawking in James Marsh’s 2014 biopic “The Theory of Everything,” which earned him the Oscar for best actor. Redmayne’s other prominent credits include “The Trial of The Chicago Seven,” “The Danish Girl,” “Les Miserables” and the “Fantastic Beasts” films.
