Janelle Brown grew concerned for her son in the hours before his death.
As we’ve been following, the 25-year-old son of Sister Wives‘ Janelle and Kody Brown tragically died by suicide earlier this week. The pair announced the news in a joint statement on Instagram on Tuesday, while TMZ reported that Garrison’s brother Gabriel was the one to find him on Tuesday morning. According to police documents obtained by TMZ, Garrison sent a troubling group message prior to his demise. He wrote:
It’s not clear who all received the message, but Janelle was not on the list. However, she did learn about it somehow, and proceeded to reach out to him. According to the report, she was able to exchange a few texts with him before he ultimately stopped responding. It’s unknown exactly what he said, but it was obviously enough to warrant the worried mom asking someone to go check in on him. Gabriel was the one who agreed, and we know the sad story from there…
According to TMZ, Garrison’s roommates in Flagstaff, Arizona apparently heard a loud “pop” on Monday night — but didn’t put two and two together that it was the sound of a gunshot. Police, of course, reported that Garrison was discovered with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
This all is so, so tragic. Even more so since Garrison and Kody were never able to mend their relationship prior to his death. Our hearts continue to be with the Brown family. Rest in peace.
