Simon Cowell has refuted speculation that he previously had a facelift, after Britain's Got Talent presenters Ant & Dec made a cheeky dig at his appearance.The 63 year old music mogul and multimillionaire record executive is back on our screens tonight for the first episode of the 16th series of Britain's Got Talent, alongside regular judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, and newbie Bruno Tonioli. Simon is showing no signs of slowing down and today confirmed he's looking to set up a new singing competition series. But before launching a new show, he's got a full series of Britain's Got Talent ahead of him - and the episodes will see him warding off cheeky remarks from Ant & Dec.
During the opening episode of Britain's Got Talent, Dec tells the audience: "We have a new face joining the judging panel," to which Ant replies: "What? Simon has a new face?" Simon laughed off speculation he's ever gone under the knife despite his appearance being drastically different to a few years ago, in an interview with The Mirror. "I think it's hysterical. I mean, it just makes me laugh.
I haven't had a facelift or anything," he said. 'I've had a bit of Botox or whatever, but nothing drastic. So when I hear about this stuff, honestly it does make me laugh." Speaking about what he wants to see at the BGT auditions, Simon said the main thing he's looking for is something that hasn't been done before.
"Number one, an act you haven’t seen before [is what I want]," he said. "Or if it’s a similar kind of act, they’ve got to be better. It’s always great to be surprised.
