Shygirl has shared a new version of ‘Woe’ featuring Björk.The track is taken from the deluxe edition of the artist’s debut album ‘Nymph’. Titled ‘Nymph_o’, the LP reissue contains the album’s original songs, now featuring a variety of remixes and new guest features.
It is set to arrive on April 14.Björk contributed new lyrics to the song, retitled ‘Woe (I See It From Your Side)’. Discussing her contributions, she said: “Shy told me in her lyric she is talking about both different amourous interests and fame and how suddenly everyone wants something from you and you should be thrilled but you’re not.”She continued: “I decided to take an angle as an older “amour” and give advice…because in “Woe” she is asking a question and I decided to reply to it from the SUFI angle which is: enjoy the wanting and the longing and NOT getting what you want but enjoy wanting it.”Björk elsewhere explained how the track represents personal relationships, and the pursuit for ‘satisfaction’.
“How the whirling dervishes reach up when they turn, it is meant to represent that longing and being content with that. Also, on a more everyday personal level, it is about sometimes, when you are not satisfied in a relationship, you should not expect your partner to heal that or fix that.
Rather look at him or her as a partner in crime or a fellow-not-getter – another human with that insatiable longing.”The music video sees Shygirl in a series of various montages around Tokyo, including in a love hotel. fraught with Shakespearian-level dramatic irony as the show reveals the mounting drama leading up to the revelation of Tom Sandoval, 40, and Raquel Leviss’ months-long affair. In this week’s installment, the gals are still reeling from the Lake Havasu girls trip gone wrong (the most common type of Lake Havasu girls trip).A pool party with the whole gang at Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix’s once happy home plays, on the surface, like “Mean Girls” lite. Lala Kent and Katie Maloney are still on the offense over Leviss’ behavior on the trip — namely that she got drunk and made out with a Vegas waiter Kent liked and then used a kiddo galaxy light to illuminate her Vegas hotel room.“I was being young and fun and single and living my life, and these girls literally set me up to make me seem like I’m only chasing after guys that they’re interested in,” Leviss, 28, says early in the episode.Kent and Maloney, 36, are accused of being the villains in their treatments of Leviss, who seems intent on defending herself against the volatile Kent.“She is kinda thriving, kinda hot,” Tom Schwartz says of Leviss defending herself. Not surprisingly, Tom Sandoval also stands up for the woman we now know to be his mistress, confronting Maloney for being a supposed bully.“Katie, here’s the thing with you: If somebody doesn’t have your exact perspective, they’re somehow wrong” he says.
