An American Pickle, the Seth Rogen-starring comedy that moved from Sony Pictures to HBO Max, has lined up an August 6 release date on WarnerMedia’s streaming service. The pic, from Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Point Grey Pictures, will world premiere as the first HBO Max original film under the Warner Max movie label.
The premiere date came Wednesday as HBO Max unveiled a second wave of programming for the summer that will follow the initial titles

On June 1, Seth Rogen proudly posted a ‘Black Lives Matter’ banner on his Instagram page to support the black community following George Floyd’s death. While many people applauded him for publicly speaking out against injustice, Seth also received plenty of hate in the comments section of his post. Rather than ignore the hateful comments, though, Seth took the time to reply to dozens of them with expletive-filled messages, and fans are praising him for being so vocal.
Seth Rogen spent the day telling followers on Instagram to “f— off” and other similar sentiments, but the “Knocked Up” star wasn’t having a public meltdown, he was just being, uh, direct with people who disagree with his politics.
