A Glasgow resident has caused a few smiles after they left a cheeky note on a piece of furniture in the hope of getting rid of the unwanted item for free.
A passer-by noticed the handwritten note taped to the side of the chest of drawers, in the Kelvinbridge area of the West End.
The humorous note read: 'Please take canny be a**** going to the dump. NB if no one takes, I will of course responsibly dispose', reports Glasgow Live.
Twitter user @sefkhet who saw the humorous sign, said in a post: "Spotted in the wild, the most West End of Glasgow sign there has ever been. Perfection, no notes."
The funny post sparked conversation on the social media platform. User @sefkhet said: "Where in west end? That’s the vital question." When told it was Kelvinbridge, they added: "In that case it’s just some lazy student."
User @rentrebel said: "I bet this is an English person trying (hard) to sound Scottish. It's just that NB (Latin, innit) that gives it away, for me. (I'm English btw)."
It's unclear if anyone has taken the neighbour up on their generous offer.
