Two Scots homes have been robbed of cash and jewellery in broad daylight after four men broke in and demanded property.
The incident occurred at two addresses in Fenwickland Avenue in the Alloway area of Ayr at around 2.40pm on Saturday, March 19.
The group left the area with a two-figure sum of cash and jewellery.
All four suspects have been described as wearing dark clothing with their hoods up and their faces covered during the burglary.
Police Scotland officers are now appealing for further information following the robbery.
Detective Constable Stuart McCulloch from Ayr Police Station said: “We’re appealing to anyone who was in the Fenwickland Avenue area around 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon who witnessed anything suspicious to please come forward.
“If you have any information on this robbery, contact 101, quoting incident 1842 of 19 March.
"Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
