Savannah Chrisley and Colton Underwood revealed that they went on a date back in 2017.
The 25-year-old reality TV star said she “knew” the first time that they met that the former football player was gay.
Colton was the star of the 2019 season of The Bachelor and came out as gay in 2021.

“When we met the first time, I knew you were gay. Like, I knew it!” Savannah said on the Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley podcast.
“I mean, for obvious reasons,” Colton replied. “When I say, ‘It’s not you, it’s me,’ I truly mean that. And obviously I’ve proven that at this point.”
“Obviously you’re hot as hell but like there was just like no connection there and I remember looking at [my makeup artist friend] Emily and I was like ‘He’s totally gay!’ she was like ‘No he’s not Savannah,’” she said on the podcast titled “My Gay Ex-Lover.”
Savannah then confessed that she told Colton she wasn’t feeling well and was going to go back to her room, but then really went to another hotel to hang out with another guy. After that date, Colton said his life was a whirlwind.
“I filmed three reality shows in one year,” Colton said. “My identity goes from football player to reality television star and I was running from my sexuality so I was happy that my identity was tied into something other than people questioning me about that.”
There are several NFL players who have come out over the years, including one player who is currently on an active roster.
