Fugitive sex offender Nicholas Rossi is to be interviewed in prison by detectives over an allegation of rape in Essex.
English police are currently making arrangements to question Rossi at Saughton Prison in Edinburgh.
The American was remanded in custody last week over a high-profile extradition case in which he faces being sent back to the US over two allegations of rape in the state of Utah which date back to 2008.
