Guess who is heading back to the Jersey Shore? None other than Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola!
As fans know, the 35-year-old television personality starred in the original incarnation of the MTV series with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Angelina Pivarnick, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Deena Nicole Cortese between 2009 to 2012. The show was eventually rebooted in 2018, with most of the cast returning – except for Sammi. At the time, she shared with everyone on Instagram that she enjoyed her life without the cameras and wanted “to avoid potentially toxic situations” (*cough, cough* Ron).

Despite Sammi not wanting to come back, that has not stopped her former co-stars from trying to convince her to change their minds. Snooki explained to E! News in September 2022:

But now, it looks like the cast got their wish! Because more than a decade since she left the original series, the network announced on the ‘gram on Saturday that Sammi is reuniting with her castmates to film Jersey Shore: Family Vacation! Dropping a picture of the reality star sitting on a chair with a boom mic and camera in the frame, MTV wrote in the caption:

No other details about her return have been revealed – including why she suddenly changed her tune and joined the show. But we can assume that the main reason is
