Robert Smith “sickened” by Ticketmaster fees, after The Cure aimed for low ticket prices

The Cure‘s Robert Smith has said he is “sickened” by high Ticketmaster fees for the band’s upcoming North American tour after they vowed to keep prices affordable for fans.Last week the band announced a 30-date tour across the US, which is set to kick off at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on May 10 before closing out at the Miami-Dade Arena in Florida on July 1.In an email to fans, Smith said they would keep ticket prices reasonable, writing: “The Cure have agreed all ticket prices, and apart from a few Hollywood Bowl charity seats, there will be no ‘platinum’ or ‘dynamically priced’ tickets on this tour.”The band also said that tickets would not be “transferable” to minimise “resale and keep prices at face value”. Smith has since elaborated on the ticketing strategy, acknowledging “real problems” with the system and that it wasn’t “perfect”, but did clarify that the band had a “final say” over pricing. However, after the Verified Fan sale went live yesterday (March 15), some fans reported that Ticketmaster fees, including service fee, facility charge and order processing fee, exceeded the price of actual tickets.Smith has now responded, tweeting that he was “sickened” by the “ticketmaster ‘fees’ debacle”.He continued: “To be very clear: the artist has no way to limit them.

‘Talking Sopranos’ with Michael Imperioli is on tour: Get tickets today

“The Sopranos” and then there’s everything else.David Chase’s incomparable, serio-comic drama ran from 1999-2007 and made such an impression that it has’t never left the cultural conversation since its infamous cut to black. In fact, “The Sopranos” has remained so relevant that show stars Michael Imperioli (also from the second season of “The White Lotus”), Vincent Pastore and Steve Schirripa are literally talking about their time on the show onstage all over the country.Yet, every show on the tour isn’t just idle chat like what you’d hear at The Bada Bing! though — rather, the former cast members, share behind-the-scenes stories, answer audience questions and review rare video footage. There’s only one problem.Unfortunately, “Christopher Moltisanti,” “Big Pussy” and “Bobby Baccalieri” only have a few gigs lined up this year.At the time of publication, the trio, along with moderator-comedian Joey Kola, have just three speaking engagements scheduled.First up, the trio from the 21-time Emmy winner will chop it up at Boston, MA’s Shubert Theatre on March 11.After that, they’re scheduled to hit Providence, RI’s The Strand Ballroom and Theatre on April 1.Finally, the trio will depart from anywhere even remotely close to New Jersey and head northwest to Warren, MI’s Andiamo Celebrity Showroom on Nov. 4.Woke up this morning and wanted to see “The Sopranos” live? Here’s everything you need to know.A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues, and links to buy tickets can be found below.(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time.

Netflix edits out mistake in Chris Rock special during Will Smith joke

Netflix has edited out a mistake made by Chris Rock in his comedy special Chris Rock: Selective Outrage. In the special, the comedian addresses the moment at last year’s Oscars where Will Smith slapped him in the face onstage. At one point, Rock claims Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith were upset with him beforehand when he hosted the Oscars back in 2016.“Years ago his wife said I should quit the Oscars, I shouldn’t host ‘cause her man didn’t get nominated for Emancipation, the biggest piece of shit, ever,” Rock told the crowd in Baltimore, Maryland (via Decider). After naming the wrong movie, Rock quickly corrected himself, adding: “No, not Emancipation, I fucked up the joke. She started this shit. She said that me, a fucking grown ass man, should quit his job because ‘My husband didn’t get nominated for Concussion’.”The correction was pointed out by Vulture’s Jesse David Fox on Twitter, who wrote: “They fixed the Concussion–Emancipation slip up in the version that’s now on Netflix.”He added: “It makes me wonder if there has been other tweaks!”Speaking about the Oscars slap, Rock said: “Everybody knows it happened.

“Selective Outrage” comedy show on Netflix, but it seems Rock still hasn’t received a personal, formal apology from the actor.“Chris never got a one-on-one private apology from Will, only the public one which really meant nothing,” a source told the Daily Mail recently. Following the smackdown last March, the “Emancipation” star released a series of teary-eyed apology statements, expressing his regret over his actions.“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris,” Smith said.
