It's been an eventful week for This Morning presenter Alison Hammond as she got to meet the Prince and Princess of Wales in her hometown Birmingham on Thursday. Opening up about the encounter on Friday's episode of the popular morning show, Alison couldn't help but talk about her encounter with the royals, and also revealed the big blunder she'd made with Prince William.The 48-year-old explained to her co-host Dermot O’Leary: "I led [Prince William] down the stairs, holding his hand… and on the way down the stairs, I remember that I hadn’t done 'Your Royal Highness' or bowed. "So then I bowed, awkwardly on the stairs, holding his hand!" Dermot jokingly went on to ask if Alison had called the Prince of Wales, which she quickly denied.

Charna Flam London’s West End smash hit “Death Drop” is headed across the pond. The killer comedy drag show, starring some of the most famous drag queens, is coming to New York this summer. “Death Drop,” is set to begin its off-broadway previews on June 30, followed by opening night on July 13 at New World Stages. The show stars “RuPaul’s Drag Race’s” Jujubee as Summer Raines, Willam as Shazza and Shuga Cain as Lady Rosebud von Fistenberg. Joining the “Drag Race” alum include Peachez Iman Cummings (“Worst Cooks in America”) as Morgan Pierce, Wang Newton (“Sacred Wounds”) as Phil Maker and the “Death Drop” writer Holly Stars as the Bottomly Sisters. Kiki Ball-Change will serve as an understudy. Additional casting will be announced soon.

She will work with editor-at-large Kate Aurthur, who oversees the publication’s TV criticism and features. Herman was a staff writer at The Ringer from 2016 to 2023, where she covered television and popular culture. During her tenure, she wrote columns on new shows, profiled performers such as John Mulaney and reported the definitive piece on the aesthetics of “Succession.” “TV criticism is one of the bedrocks of Variety, as the No. 1 brand covering the business of entertainment,” co-Editors-in-Chief Cynthia Littleton and Ramin Setoodeh say. “Alison’s deep knowledge of television and pop culture make her the perfect addition to our team.”
