Sacha Baron Cohen has fought back against shock claims made by Rebel Wilson.
The Hollywood star shared her claims in a candid statement, saying Baron Cohen tried to shut down allegations she made about him in her expose book. Making waves with her tale of a tiff with an iconic British actor, Wilson outed Baron Cohen as the star trying to keep his name out of her soon-to-be-released memoir.
The 44-year-old Bridesmaids actress voiced her stand against "will not be bullied or silenced by high priced lawyers" bullying or silencing her and outed Baron Cohen as the unnamed "massive a**hole" cited in one chapter of her impending book Rebel Rising, due out next month.
Taking to Instagram on March 15, Wilson spilled some Tinsel Town secrets: "When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, yeah, 'I have a no a**hole policy, means like, yeah, I don't work with a**holes.' I was like, 'Oh yeah. I mean, that sounds sensible or logical. But then it really sunk in because I worked with a massive a**hole and yeah, now I definitely have a no a**holes policy."
In another past post on social media, reports the Mirror, mum-of-one Wilson claimed: "Now the a**hole is trying to threaten me. He's hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He's trying to stop press coming out about my new book. But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth."
Baron Cohen's spokesperson said on Monday: "While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby."
