The Royal Family is said to have drawn up two plans for the King’s Coronation – which depend on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attendance. The King’s big day is set to take place on 6 May and a spokesperson for the royal pair has confirmed that they have received an invite. However, while Charles' big day is just weeks away, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are yet to confirm if they’ll attend or not. Following their invite, Harry and Meghan have reportedly been in conversations with Charles and Buckingham Palace, sharing a series of demands for a possible trip to the UK.
It’s thought the King wants to give the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, roles on his big day, but need Harry and Meghan to say they’ll be there before this can be confirmed. Discussing the Palace making a plan A and plan B surrounding the Sussex’s attendance, a royal insider told Mail Online: “Two versions of the plans [for the day] are being drawn up. One includes Harry and Meghan and one doesn't.
“Timings are all approximate at this stage, but they are working towards a timetable now.” OK! has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment. As their Coronation attendance remains up in the air, people have shared their thoughts on if the royal duo should go – with some believing it would be a bad idea. Speaking to OK!, Tom Bower, author of Revenge: Meghan, Harry And The War Between The Windsors, said: “It’s too late for a reconciliation. There is no way back at all.
