Rochelle Humes has revealed the emotional message her eldest daughter left her ahead of her first trip abroad without them.
The This Morning presenter waved off Alaia-Mai, 11, on her school trip to France with husband Marvin Humes. Rochelle, 35, and Marvin, 39, shared a video to Instagram showing them both in the car after saying goodbye to Alaia-Mai. Mum-of-three Rochelle admitted there had been tears in the Humes household, with younger children Valentina, seven, and Blake, three, also becoming emotional at their sibling's departure.
"We have had so many tears this morning. He's been in that mood all morning and I have literally just stopped crying," Rochelle told the camera, with Marvin sitting next to her. "We've just sent Alai off, waved her off on the school coach.
She's going to France until Friday early evening and I will just never get used to this. Like ever, ever, ever!" the mum-of-three added. Rochelle said Alaia-Mai had headed off with her "bestie" but once the school bus had started to depart, she could see her daughter crying.
"I could see through the window that she was crying and then obviously who was crying? Valle was crying going into school, Blake was crying like everyone's going to be split up for the next few days. Yeah, it's been an emotional Humes household this morning - apart from this one. He should have just done this school run by himself.
We didn't think this through," Rochelle added. Rochelle admitted she'd cried "ugly tears" as she watched the school bus leave.
To make matters worse, Alaia-Mai's trip fell on the This Morning host's 35th birthday, meaning she didn't get to celebrate with her mum. However, Alaia made sure she wrote a note for her mum to open on her special day.
