Rita Ora was left red-faced during her appearance on BBC Breakfast today after she accidentally addressed a presenter as Huw Edwards in a blunder.
The 32-year-old singer was chatting to presenter Charlie Stayt about her new album You & I when she got mixed up and said "thanks Huw", reports the Mirror.
She blurted out the name of the news anchor after he was named by his wife, Vicky Flind, as the BBC presenter facing allegations over payments for sexually explicit images.
Talking about the album, Charlie said: "You're here doing publicity, this is the world you live in and at the same time you clearly guard your privacy."
Rita replied: "Yeah, thanks Huw," before she realised what she said and added: "Thanks Huw? Thank you for noticing that."
It would seem the pair attempted to brush the blip aside as they continued with the interview, but eagle-eyed viewers of the BBC programme took to social media to discuss the awkward blunder.
One person wrote on Twitter: "Rita Ora saying 'thanks Huw' then quickly changing it to 'thank you' made me laugh."
As a second said: "Not Rita Ora saying 'thanks Huw' on BBC Breakfast FFS," with a third adding: "Who keeps rewinding the Rita Ora interview? @BBCBreakfast."
"Soooo Rita Ora says thanks to Charlie by saying 'thanks Huw' hilarious @BBCBreakfast," added a third viewer.
It comes as Huw's wife Vicky Flind released a statement last week in response to the allegations that her husband had paid for explicit photographs.
She said: "In light of the recent reporting regarding the 'BBC Presenter' I am making this statement on behalf of my husband Huw Edwards, after what have been five extremely difficult days for our family.
"I am doing this primarily out of concern for his mental well-being and to protect
