Ever since Adam Maxted arrived in the Love Island:All Stars villa as a last-minute bombshell, the 31 year old professional wrestler swiftly became one of the most talked about stars taking part in this year’s series. Yet while many fans were understandably intrigued to see who would catch his eye this time around, his road to love didn’t exactly appear to be running smoothly when he clashed with on-screen stunner Arabella Chi.
In awkward scenes that aired on Monday, 12 February, Arabella made a move on Adam yet instead of embracing her advances, he reacted as though he couldn’t end the kiss soon enough! Even more bafflingly however, despite the uncomfortable kiss the couple later happily coupled up, leading many fans to wonder what exactly was going on. One theory about Adam’s reluctance to fully give in to the kiss may actually boil down to his previous experience in the Love Island villa, all the way back in 2016, when he famously coupled up with Katie Salmon.
The pair made it all the way to the show’s final, but sadly fell at the final hurdle and placed fourth overall.
Despite missing out on the cash prize, the couple did agree to pursue a romance outside of the villa, but in a heartbreaking twist the couple lasted for just five days before splitting up. After the breakup, neither Adam nor Katie held back in a scathing tirade online which hinted that their split was far from amicable, as both stars flung insult after insult at each other.
