Vito Coppola is one of the newest faces on Strictly Come Dancing - but he already has an impressive pedigree on the show (and its international counterparts) that could take him all the way to the title with partner Ellie. Vito and Fleur East made it all the way to the final in 2022 and he's previously lifted the glitterball trophy on the Italian version of Strictly.
The Italian dancer was born on September 27, 1992 and has danced since the age of six. He was winning national championships by the time he was 10 and went on to become an 11-time Italian Latin American champion, three-time World Championship finalist and European Cup Winner.
Upon joining Strictly, he told the BBC: "I am really excited to become part of this family. I cannot wait to start this new adventure and to challenge myself. Strictly sto arrivando! (or: Strictly I am coming!)"
Before joining Strictly Come Dancing in 2022, Vito was best known for his stint on the Italian version of the show, Stars Ballando con le Stelle. And his previous experience might just help him along this weekend - he was crowned champion, alongside his dance partner Arisa, in 2021.
Away from his dancing prowess Vito is an impressive linguist and as well as his native Italian is also fluent in Russian, English and Spanish. And his current Strictly partner Ellie Leach has been left tickled by the multi-lingual star occasionally getting his words mixed up.
"The thing that I love about you is when you get words wrong," the 22-year-old said in a joint interview with Bella magazine, before adding, "You know you've got it wrong, but you pretend that you haven't.
