Ray Liotta's Cause of Death Confirmed After Sudden Passing at 67

Ray Liotta‘s cause of death has been officially released.
He passed away in May of 2022 at the age of 67 in his sleep while filming a movie in the Dominican Republic.
He was most known for his starring role in Goodfellas, where he played mobster Henry Hill. He went on to appear in Cop Land, Corrina Corrina, Wild Hogs and Blow. He starred in more roles like his Golden Globe-nominated turn in Something Wild, and more recently in Marriage Story and Shades of Blue. He also voiced Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Now, his cause of death has been revealed.

Documents obtained by TMZ listed three causes of death: respiratory insufficiency, pulmonary edema (too much fluid on the lungs), and acute heart failure.
A contributing factor was also listed: atherosclerosis. According to the Mayo Clinic, atherosclerosis is a “buildup of fats, cholesterol and other substances in and on the artery walls.”
