Rachel Zegler is in hot water with a lot of fans right now.
Over the past couple of weeks, the 22-year-old actress has been the subject of countless TikTok videos and commentary over her remarks about her upcoming movie, the live-action adaptation of Snow White.
It all kicked off late last year, when Rachel shared her opinion about the original 1937 animated film, and it didn’t sit well with Disney fans.

In the initial interview with Variety at the 2023 D23 Expo, Rachel said that the new live-action version was updated and more modern. While that’s not the issue, fans did not like her attitude towards the original film.
“I just mean that it’s no longer 1937,” she pointed out. “She’s not going to be dreaming about true love, she’s going to be dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be.”
Rachel also spoke to Extra on that occasion as well, saying that the Prince was a “stalker” – another thing fans did not like, as they pointed out he’s in the movie all of 10 minutes.
“The original cartoon came out in 1937, and very evidently so. There’s a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird! Weird! So we didn’t do that this time,” she said.
In her next press outing, alongside co-star Gal Gadot, with Entertainment Weekly in November 2022, Rachel said that didn’t enjoy the animated version of the movie at all.
“I was scared of the original version. I think I watched it once and never picked it up again. I’m being so serious,” she shared. “I watched it once, and then I went on the ride in Disney World, which was called ‘Snow White’s Scary Adventures.’ Doesn’t sound like something a little kid would like. I was terrified of it, never revisited Snow White again.”
