Barbie or Oppenheimer? Barm or muffin? Liam or Noel?
Mancunians can now have their say on some of the most divisive subjects in the city - by throwing their rubbish in a bin. Non-smokers felt a bit left out when novel 'Ballot Bins' were installed for cigarette butts in Ancoats earlier this year.
But the quirky bins have proved so popular that new, 'Big Ballot Bins' have been installed in the city centre, giving passers by the chance to vote with their rubbish. Like the earlier bins for cigarette butts, it's hoped the new additions to the city will help tackle litter.

The new 'Big Ballot Bins', which can be found along Piccadilly, use sensors to count up the rubbish and keep track of the score on a digital screen. Once they have thrown their rubbish away in the new bins, people are being encouraged to share their opinions on social media with the hashtag #PickYourSideMCR.
It's part of a trial run by Manchester City Council, environmental charity Hubbub and KFC. Coun Lee-Ann Igbon, executive member for vibrant neighbourhoods on Manchester City Council, said: "I am pleased that we're teaming up with Hubbub to launch this new scheme in the city centre.
"This initiative is one of the many innovative ways that the council are trying to reduce littering in the city and encourage people to put their rubbish in the bin. By getting people voting we hope that residents will be encouraged to vote on funny topics, and throw their rubbish in the bins, keeping our streets clean."
Hubbub, which also created the original 'Ballot Bins' for cigarette butts, says the new additions to Manchester are the first of their kind. The project's impact
