The Queen has shared a sweet throwback photo of the Queen Mother in celebration of Mother's Day today, on 27 March.The monarch, 95, took to her official Instagram page to share the rare photo, which sees her as a young woman with her sister Princess Margaret sitting on either side of the former Queen Elizabeth.The trio can be seen posing for a portrait in the photo, which was taken in 1941. Posting a red rose emoji, she captioned the snap: "Wishing all those celebrating today a very special Mothering Sunday #MothersDay" and credited the image to the Royal Collection Trust.

Back on royal soil! Harry and Meghan visited the Queen during a pitstop in London on their way to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands, marking the first time the couple has reunited with the monarch since their royal exit two years ago.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paid Queen Elizabeth a visit at Windsor Castle while on their way to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games. This is the royal couple’s first joint visit back to the U.K. since they decided to move to Montecito, California, in March 2020 after stepping back as senior members of the royal family. A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed their visit to People on Thursday. Although this is the first time the royal couple has made their return together to the U.K., Harry has been back for two occasions.

Following a series of health setbacks, royal followers are wondering if Prince Harry is visiting the Queen anytime soon. Though Harry will attend The Invictus Games in the Netherlands, one royal expert believes it is very unlikely that the red-headed former royal will visit his home country to see the Queen after she dropped out of her family’s Easter Sunday celebrations.

Matthew continued: "And here we hear her dresser breaks in her brand new custom-made shoes for her, so they're more comfortable.
Queen Elizabeth is said to have given her blessing to royal dresser Angela Kelly to give a rare insight into the monarch after 70 years on the throne. Angela has been a royal aide to Her Majesty for almost 30 years, and is expected to release her book next month – which will be an update of her 2019 book The Other Side of the Coin – ahead of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
