Shoppers at a Tesco store in London were taken by surprise as they spotted Prince William selling The Big Issue at the supermarket. The Prince of Wales, 41, joined vendor Dave Martin at the Hammersmith branch in London on Tuesday, 5 December, to sell copies of the magazine, which aims to support people who are homeless or struggling financially. Prince William first met Dave 18 months ago when they teamed up to sell copies of The Big Issue at the same Tesco store.
The pair have reportedly hit it off, with sources claiming they even exchanged Christmas cards this year.
A source told The Sun: "He decided he wanted to go see Dave and swap Christmas cards and they sold The Big Issue together." The Prince of Wales shared a photo of him and Dave on social media to mark the occasion on Tuesday.
The duo sported matching red caps and gilets, emblazoned with The Big Issue logo. "Great to be back with Dave, selling the latest edition of @bigissueuk once again!" the dad-of-three captioned the photorgraph. William launched his Homewards project, which aims to end homelessness, earlier in 2023.
