The Princess of Wales, 41, who is the patron of the Lawn Tennis Association and regularly attends Wimbledon, was joined by her husband Prince William, 41, and her two oldest children, Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, eight, at the All England Club for the men's final on Sunday.
The two Royal children appeared impressed by the action on the world-famous courts, and punched the air in celebration of Carlos Alcaraz’s first Wimbledon victory, after beating Novak Djokovic to claim the title. The Daily Mail reports upon arrival at SW19 with her husband and two children, Kate told Ella Ottaway, who runs the All England Club's young people programme: “Louis was very upset he wasn't coming today.” During the conversation, Kate went on to confirm it was “Charlotte's first time” but “George came last year”.The princess added: “They've been eagerly watching. Charlotte, you've been getting to grips with the scoring.” After their conversation, 16 year old ballboy Joel revealed Louis “tries to practise the standing and staying serious like us”.
He continued: “He tries to practise the stands and how we stand at the back of the court and next to the players.” Prince Louis often makes waves at royal engagements, stealing the show with hilarious antics. He was pictured covering his ears on the Buckingham Palace balcony, and blowing raspberries and sticking his tongue out at his mother at the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
