Celebrations to mark the King and Queen’s Coronation have begun in Scotland with a people’s procession through the streets of Edinburgh.The nation saw Charles and Camilla crowned just eight weeks ago during an ancient ceremony where the monarch gave a pledge to “serve”. Now a service of thanksgiving and dedication for the King and Queen will take place at St Giles’ Cathedral in the Scottish capital, where the monarch will be presented with the Honours of Scotland, the country’s crown jewels.The Honours of Scotland are the oldest Crown Jewels in Britain and have been present at many of the major royal ceremonial events over the past five centuries.

Prince William and Kate Middleton tagged along to Scotland for an event honoring King Charles III as the new monarch and Queen Camilla.William, Charles and Camilla all donned traditional royal garb, while Middleton looked stunning in a long blue coat — to go along with her blue heels and blue hat — at a ceremony held Wednesday at St. Giles' Cathedral.

Saturday 17 June marked King Charles’ first Trooping the Colour event as monarch and during his balcony appearance with Queen Camilla, he had a cheeky three-word response to the Queen after she gave him an order. King Charles stood with his family on the balcony for the historic event during the Trooping the Colour parade and they watched the RAF flypast on the sunny afternoon.

The Royal Family were out in force over the weekend to mark the first Trooping the Colour ceremony of King Charles' reign.

Trooping the Colour's pomp and ceremony seemed to be a little too lengthy for one young royal, as Princess Charlotte appeared to get impatient during the event. For the occasion, which has been celebrated for 260 years, Charles rode horseback.

As the royal family once again gathered on Saturday to mark the first Trooping the Colour parade since King Charles assumed the throne, millions of viewers around the world tuned in to see the pomp and pageantry of the annual occasion to mark the King’s official birthday. It is believed that the Princess chose the green outfit to pay homage to her role as Colonel of the Irish Guards.

Prince Louis adorably stole the show again on Saturday 17 June as he pulled a series of animated faces at the Trooping the Colour.The young royal, five, was joined by siblings Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, eight, as he sat in between them in the carriage. Also in the carriage was the trio's mother, Kate Middleton, and Queen Camilla, who is colonel of the Grenadier guards, as they followed behind the King in a carriage.
