As Prince Harry prepares to return to the UK this week for the annual WellChild Awards, royal fans hoping for a reunion between Harry and his father will be disappointed after it's claimed that the King has “no time” to see his son. Many fans had eagerly been hoping that King Charles and the Prince would meet up ahead of the Invictus Games next week, with sources even having previously indicated that work was in progress to try and arrange a mutual convenient time for the pair to meet.
However, according to new reports, King Charles will not be meeting with his youngest son in the coming days as his diary is too full to fit in a meeting, with the apparent snub coming after it's also claimed that his older brother Prince William hasn’t spoken to him for a number of months. In addition, it also believed that neither Harry nor his wife Meghan Markle were invited to the royal’s annual Balmoral retreat either, following the public airing of family issues in his memoir Spare.
According to The Mail on Sunday, a palace insider claimed King Charles simply has "no time in the diary" during the quick trip home. OK! have contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.
Although a meeting with Charles may now be off the cards, it is currently unknown whether Harry will be able to connect with any of his other family members during his visit.
The Prince after all, has shown a close and enduring friendship with his cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie in the past. It is also currently unknown whether the Prince will be residing during his brief return to the country, after he was forced to return the keys to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor following his decision to emigrate to the USA.
