According to a new report Prince Harry was set to make his Saturday Night Live hosting debut earlier this year.
The 38-year-old Duke of Sussex generated endless headlines when he released his memoir Spare in January. The drop was supposed to line up with a guest spot on the popular late night show.
A source spoke out about the situation and revealed details about what happened to the planned cameo.

According to The Ankler, Prince Harry gave SNL creator Lorne Michaels a “soft yes” about hosting, but it turned into a “last-minute snub.”
“I think he was feeling oversaturated and questioning whether he was becoming too much of a ‘celebrity’ as opposed to a figurehead,” a source weighed in, confirming that the talks were in motion.
They added that Chris Martin was rumored to be joining the show alongside the Prince as the night’s musical guest. His band Coldplay performed at the show alongside host Pedro Pascal on February 4.
Aubrey Plaza and Michael B. Jordan hosted the show’s two January dates.
