Prince Harry has been open about his strained relationship with his older brother, Prince William, in his controversial book, Spare.
The memoir includes details of a physical altercation at Kensington Palace, a tense encounter at Prince Philip's funeral, and the tension between their wives, Kate and Meghan. However, it appears that the Duke of Sussex may have held back some information to protect his brother.
He hinted at having enough material for a second memoir and admitted to deliberately omitting certain details from Spare. Shortly after its publication, Harry revealed that he had refrained from including some anecdotes about his father and brother, fearing they would never forgive him if he disclosed them.
He shared that the original manuscript for his book was twice as long as the final draft, and many details about interactions between him, Charles, and William were edited out. There were things he didn't want the world to know.
Harry confessed to having 50 Zoom calls with his ghostwriter, struggling at times to decide which details to include and which ones to leave out of his memoir, reports the Mirror.
In a conversation with The Telegraph, Prince Harry shared: "It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out."
He further expressed: "There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don't want the world to know. Because I don't think they would ever forgive me."
Upon the release of 'Spare', an expert believed that Harry and Meghan's airing of family grievances has dented the concept of a familial monarchy. Having stepped back as senior working royals amid controversy, the Sussexes' strained
