Invictus Games tournament was held in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Tuesday. The Duke of Sussex, 38, was spotted strolling into the Rehabilitation Expo for the event, donning dark shades, a simple black polo and jeans.Once he was inside the arena, he watched the wheelchair basketball match between Team Ukraine and Team Great Britain.During the contest, the royal posed with members of each team and met with a few of the children who came out to support their favorite country.The games began on Sept.
9 and are set to run until Sept. 16.The Invictus Games was created in 2014 by Harry as a multi-sport event for wounded servicemen and women and is styled after the Paralympics.This year, 21 countries are competing in 10 sports categories with 550 contestants playing.
Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, are reportedly staying in a luxurious $2,500-a-night suite at one of the fanciest hotels in Düsseldorf for this year’s event.According to The Mirror, the couple has chosen one of the nicest rooms at the city’s Hyatt Regency. The flat reportedly has a terrace that looks out over The Rhine and there is an expansive amount of space for security to guard the pair.The Hyatt Regency’s other amenities include a spa, a fitness gym and swanky restaurants that offer international fare.Markle, 42, is set to meet up with her hubby in Europe for a few days for the Invictus Games.The former actress was seen arriving at Los Angeles’ LAX airport to jet off to Germany on Tuesday, according to the Daily Mail.The “Suits” alum first made a stopover in England alongside her bodyguard.
