Prime Video To Co-Produce Feature Film With Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Vicky Kaushal Set To Star

Prime Video today announced that it will co-produce a new film for theatrical release with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective. The currently-untitled film is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 28, 2023. Following the theatrical release, the film will be available for streaming on Prime worldwide.
The flick is the second theatrical co-production that Prime Video has launched with Dharma Productions. Leo Media Collective is a co-producer. The film features Vicky Kaushal in the lead with Anand Tiwari directing. Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk also feature. Producers are Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari.
Amazon has made continued in-roads in India. Earlier this year, the company set a 40-strong slate of original TV series and films, including plans for 22 scripted series and four films plus multi-year licensing agreements with major Indian producers, such as Dharma Productions and Yash Raj Films.
