Police tape off road as paramedics treat child injured in crash

A child was treated by paramedics after being injured in a crash in Salford.
The smash happened on Leicester Road, near the Higher Broughton area, at around 5.40pm yesterday (Wednesday). Two vehicles were involved, police said.
Officers taped off the road after the incident as a child was treated by ambulance crews. Their injuries were minor.

No arrests were made. Pictures showed several emergency services vehicles at the scene.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 5:40pm yesterday (12/10/2022), officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Leicester Road in Salford.
"Ambulance also attended and treated one child who had sustained minor injuries. No arrests were made."
