A driver who was stopped by police for a seatbelt offence was found with five large vacuum-packed bags of cannabis.
Traffic officers stopped the driver in Whitefield yesterday (Wednesday). At first, they pulled him over for a seatbelt offence, police said.
The driver - a 22-year-old man - was found with 'five large vacuum-packed bags of suspected cannabis' in the car. Officers also found a weapon and false identity documents.

The driver was not believed to be insured on the car and was also wanted by police. Officers posted a picture of the suspected cannabis on social media last night and said 'traffic stops result in big finds'.
A post on the GMP Bury South Facebook page last night said: "Traffic stops do result in big finds! 22 year old male stopped by our @GMPSpecials for a suspected seatbelt offence in #Whitefield & found with 5 large vacuum packed sus cannabis bags, an offensive weapon, false ID docs, no insurance & he turned out to be wanted too! G/M."
