Police have issued a dispersal order ahead of a planned car meet event.
Officers said the 'car cruise event' was due to take place in Bolton today (Sunday). A large police operation and a dispersal order have been put in place in a bid to prevent the meet.
The dispersal order, which will be in place from 4pm today until 7am on Monday, gives police officers and PCSOs authority to disperse groups acting in an anti-social manner. However, the exact location covered by the dispersal order has not been revealed.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "GMP have received information that there will be a car cruise event in Bolton on Sunday 23 July 2023. A large-scale police operation will be in place and a Dispersal Order has been authorised.
"This is to prevent this kind of activity and to take enforcement action against anti-social behaviour in the area, specifically that which involves vehicles. The order will be in place from 4pm on Sunday 23 July until 7am on Monday 24 July and gives police officers and PCSOs authority to disperse groups acting in an anti-social manner.
"Failure to disperse could lead to arrest, or traffic offences being recorded. If anyone has any relevant information regarding this and any future events, please contact GMP on 101, or 999 in an emergency. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
