When deep cleaning your home, many often presume that the products they're using are safe and will deliver effective results.
However, as people like to come up with clever hacks that often cut corners with cleaning tasks, not everything you see that claims to make life easier is actually the better option as it could cause more damage than good.
According to plumbers, there are a few things you should never do when it comes to cleaning bathrooms if you want to avoid pricey repairs as they share the products and cleaning methods they would avoid at all costs.
Their first warning is to never put one specific cleaning product down the toilet as it can completely "destroy" it, the Mirror reports.
The plumbers explain a toilet brush and a cleaner such as a spray is a much better way to clean the toilet rather than dropping a bleach tablet down there.
Mr Rooter Plumbing company explained: Although it will require more work "the longer the tablet sits, the longer its chemicals chip away at your toilet's materials.
"Your toilet pipes will eventually begin to leak often, and your toilet won't flush properly,"
Another piece of advice they offer homeowners is that not everything is flushable despite what the packaging may say.

Owen Gleiberman Chief Film Critic In “Dashing Through the Snow,” Lil Rel Howery has the off-the-cuff funk energy of a hustler who’s so quick that you believe his spiel before you’ve had the chance to outthink it. The whole issue of believing is key to the movie, since Howery plays Santa Claus — or, perhaps, a petty criminal who’s pretending to be Santa Claus. The character calls himself Nick, and he’s dressed as a variation on the old-school Victorian Santa: half-frame glasses, a coat festooned with gold buttons and paramilitary shoulder flaps, a vest of gold finery, along with a few token bits of street cool (pearl earring, two-tone beard, fingerless leather gloves).
