Tony Award-winning playwright and screenwriter Terrence McNally has died from complications linked to the coronavirus.
The 81-year-old lung cancer survivor passed away at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in his native Florida on Tuesday.
Dubbed “the bard of American theatre”, McNally picked up the 2019 Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement and the 2019 Dramatists Guild Lifetime Achievement Award.
