An Ayrshire restaurant has closed for the second time in less than a year.
It was announced last week that Oven has been closed down for good by the eaterie's owner.
It comes nine months after the pizzeria's parent company, Firewood Restaurants, went bust with thousands of pounds of debt.
The Vennel Street venue started operating again in August last year after a period of being closed.
Martin Boyle, the restaurant's owner, said that he was gutted for staff who fought through the hard times with the business.
Mr Boyle posted on Facebook: "Sad to announce that after 3 years of trying to build a business locally, we had the difficult decision to close it down.
"It’s been some journey and gutted for all the team who battled through the hard times with us.
"To all of you who we know supported us week in and week out, without you we wouldn’t have made it this far with the continuous hurdles we faced.
"Our sincere thanks and you’ll no longer be spammed by me with pizzas on your page.
"What good is an idea if it remains an idea? Try. Experiment. Iterate. Fail. Try again…"
Oven opened in 2019 and sold fresh pizzas, burgers and fried chicken.
In the wake of the closure, Oven's Facebook page has been deleted.

Claudia Eller Co-Editor-in-ChiefI felt ill when the news broke May 11 that my go-to cinema, Landmark Theatres’ flagship Westside location on Pico Boulevard, was shutting down at the end of the month. I have been going to this complex religiously — call it my house of movie worship — ever since its founding 15 years ago. For at least the past decade, my partner and I would have date night there nearly every Saturday night after enjoying dinner downstairs from the theater at the now defunct Westside Tavern.

It was an intense time.”Pizzorno, who is promoting Kasabian’s new album ‘The Alchemist’s Euphoria’, added that “it always amazes me” how fans were so aggrieved by the band’s decision to sack Meighan.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” breaks new ground among the more recent “Trek” shows by going back to the old ways — that is to say that the show is much more episodic as compared to the heavily serialized “Star Trek: Discovery” and “Star Trek: Picard.”In an interview with Variety, series star Anson Mount said that the idea of the show following that format was always the intention of its creators and allowed the cast to “get ourselves out of the way a little bit.”“I like to think that Pike is not the star of the show,” said Mount, who plays Captain Christopher Pike. “The star of the show is the Enterprise.
