Pink reflected on her at-times tumultuous relationship with husband Carey Hart and a “miracle” collaboration with Kelly Clarkson while accepting the Icon Award at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday night (March 27) in Los Angeles.
The 43-year-old dominated the night inside the Dolby Theatre, opening the show with a rendition of her single “Trustfall” and returning to the stage for a duet of “Just Give Me a Reason” with the American Idol winner.
While accepting her award, she spoke candidly about what the moment meant to her, her career and the importance of being vulnerable. She also revealed how the ups and downs with Carey helped her.

“It has been said that miracles are often associated with icons,” Pink said while onstage. “Kelly Clarkson singing with me, and Pat Benatar singing one of my songs, two of the greatest voices alive, being on stage, doing what I love with people that I love with all of my heart — and my babies in the audience — this feels like a Christmas miracle.”
If you missed it, her children Willow and Jameson joined her on the red carpet outside the event and were there cheering her on for the rest of the ceremony.
Saying that she tries “to joke or be self-deprecating” while recognizing her accomplishments, Pink decided to “be a better friend to myself tonight” during the speech.
Speaking about her artistry, she emphasized the importance of vulnerability.
