Phillip Schofield‘s time on This Morning has come to an end.
On Saturday (May 20), the 61-year-old TV personality announced that he was quitting the British morning talk show amid his feud with longtime co-host Holly Willoughby.

“I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story,” Phillip wrote on his Instagram Story.
“Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind,” Phillip continued. “I understand that ITV has decided he current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.”
Phillip added, “So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning‘s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month.”
Phillip‘s final day as co-host of This Morning was on Thursday, May 18.
Over the past several days, there have been reports that he and Holly, 42, have been feuding, after years of being friends.
On Friday (May 20), Phillip‘s brother, Timothy Schofield, was sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of child sex offense.
Phillip first joined This Morning back in 2002.
