EXCLUSIVE: Peter Facinelli (On Fire) has signed on to star in Convergence, a sci-fi action thriller that Josh Sternfeld (Fortress: Sniper’s Eye) is directing for Centerboro Productions.
In the film written by Michael K. Anderson (The Wonder Show), Centerboro President Patricia A. Beninati (Hubble: 20 Years of Discovery) and Jeff Knight (The Wonder Show), the actor plays Sam Reilly, a Supervisory ICE Officer who comes to question his worldview as he’s forced into conflict with an alien threat, fighting to save the Earth from an invasion and rescue a young girl who lost her family in the chaos. When an alien satellite crash lands in the desert of New Mexico, it infects two geologists sent to investigate with a mysterious, terrifying, and deadly condition. As the contagion begins to spread and threatens all of humanity, Sam’s joined in his fight for the future of the planet by a CDC Doctor.
To ensure authenticity in the storytelling, Centerboro Productions is working with former CIA operative Mike Baker, along with the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Producers on the project include Beninati, Todd Slater of Convoke Media (King of Killers), Marilyn G. Haft (Grace Is Gone), Facinelli (The Vanished), Ram Paul Silbey (Us), Kyle Behling (Long Night), Steven Graham (Walker: Independence), and casting director Shannon Makhanian (Willy’s Wonderland). Production kicks off in New Mexico early next year.
