Peter Andre has opened up on the scary moment his pregnant wife Emily was rushed to hospital - just before the Mysterious Girl singer was to appear on stage.
The 50-year-old is expecting his fifth child and third with 34-year-old Emily, and has opened up on how it hasn't been an easy time, reports the Mirror.
However, Peter praised his wife for "never complaining" and said that "she just gets on it".
The star also said he was ready for changing nappies six years after his youngest son, Theo, was born.
"I’ve got as much energy now as I had in my twenties. I feel fantastic. I’m ready for this," he said.
Speaking to OK! magazine, he revealed the hospital scare, saying: "I was due to go on stage in Grease in the West End and I got a call saying, ‘Emily’s been rushed to A&E.’ It was really worrying and obviously I immediately went to support her, but thankfully everything was OK.”
Peter was first introduced to Emily after her father, Dr. Ruaraidh MacDonagh, treated Peter for kidney stones after he was rushed to hospital in 2010.
The pair kept in contact after Peter was discharged from hospital, marrying five years later in Mamhead House and Castle in Devon, three years after going public with his new relationship.
"It's actually beautiful," he revealed on Loose Women in a 2020 interview alongside Emily.
"Sometimes the person you should be may be right in front of you and I don't even know it."
When questioned by host Ruth Langsford when was the first time he knew their romance could be something special, Peter said it happened during a trip to Tanzania.
"We were actually in Zanzibar... we were holding hands, and I was holding Emily's hand, and I started getting feelings on this hand...did you not notice I was squeezing your hand?"
