Maksim Chmerkovskiy has returned to Europe amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to help those in need. The "Dancing with the Stars" pro went live on Instagram Sunday from the Polish capital city of Warsaw and told his followers he was "fine" and "enjoyed some of that Los Angeles weather" after he returned home from Ukraine earlier this month. "Saw my family, saw my friends, obviously spent some time [with them]," said the 42-year-old.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the Ukraine-born former Dancing With the Stars pro who earlier this month chronicled on social media his flight home to Los Angeles via Poland from war-ravaged Kyiv, has returned to Poland to assist in humanitarian relief efforts.

ET has learned that Maks has left L.A. and is now in Poland helping with refugee relief efforts. The news of Maks' trip back to the war-torn region comes after a recent interview with CNN, in which the 42-year-old professional dancer revealed that he feels “survivor’s remorse” since making his return to the United States from the country he once called home.«I spent the last couple of days with survivor’s remorse,» the  alum said after landing back in Los Angeles.

I’ve walked those streets, I’ve been there. It is such a beautiful country. And the children that are dying right now.”
