Pearl Jam have announced a special ‘Dark Matter-verse’ event to take place in London on the same day as the release of their new album.‘Dark Matter’, the band’s 12th studio album, is set for release on April 19 via Monkeywrench Records, and can be pre-ordered/pre-saved here. The band have already shared the title track and its follow-up single ‘Running’.And now, they have revealed details of the ‘Dark Matter-verse’, which will take place at Outernet in London on April 19, from 2pm to 7pm.
The event is free to enter.It has been described as “an immersive and interactive” experience that will celebrate the band’s entire history.A press release states that the venue will “come alive as a vibrant canvas of visual and audio content, for fans to be transported through time with career highlights, curated photo galleries and electrifying live performance footage”.Songs from ‘Dark Matter’ will be played using 360-degree spatial audio, and there will be a “visual journey” starting every 15 minutes in Outernet’s Now Building.Pearl Jam will also release a one night only event Dark Matter – Global Theatrical Experience – on April 16.The event will come to life in over 225 locations nationwide, including AMC, Regal, Cinemark, Landmark, Marcus, Studio Movie Grill, Cinepolis, Harkins, Alamo Drafthouse, Chinese Cineplex, IFC, and more. Additionally, AMC and other cinemas will feature Dolby Atmos showings.
