‘Peaky Blinders’ theme park “on the cards” for Birmingham

Naman Ramachandran Birmingham Rep will co-produce “Sinatra The Musical,” the first official musical based on the life and career of Frank Sinatra, with Michele Anthony, Bruce Resnikoff and Scott Landis for Universal Music Group Theatrical, and Tina Sinatra and Charles Pignone on behalf of Frank Sinatra Enterprises.  The team behind the musical includes two-time Tony-winning writer Joe DiPietro (“What’s New Pussycat?”) and Olivier-winning and three-time Tony-winning director and choreographer, Kathleen Marshall (“Anything Goes”). The musical begins on New Year’s Eve, 1942, where a skinny 27-year-old Italian American singer is about to step onto the stage of New York’s Paramount Theatre and give a performance that will change music history. As Frank Sinatra’s career suddenly skyrockets, he struggles with balancing the love of his wife, Nancy, against the demands and temptations of being the most popular singer in America. But when he begins an affair with movie goddess Ava Gardner, his records stop selling and the press turns against him, sending his career into a tailspin. Driven by his devotion to his family, Sinatra stages the greatest comeback in showbiz history.

Katie Price has reportedly dropped out of E4's Celebrity Cooking School at the last minute. The former glamour model, 44, is said to have been a 'big signing' for bosses so her reported decision to quit has caused huge issues. Earlier this month, it was revealed the star could have earned a five-figure sum for just a 'couple of weeks' worth of work on the show.

Ashley Park has been added to the cast of the upcoming movie musical from Paramount Pictures. While her character details are being kept under wraps, ET has confirmed she will have a cameo role in the adaptation after first originating the role of Gretchen Wieners in the Broadway musical. Park joins a sprawling ensemble cast that includes Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp, Auli'i Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, Tina Fey, Tim Meadows, Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, Avantika, Christopher Briney and Bebe Wood.The film directed by Arturo Perez and Samantha Jayne and written by Fey is based on the latter's own musical adaptation of the 2004 hit film, which ran on Broadway from 2018 before permanently closing in 2021 after 833 performances. Park, who has since broken out as Mindy Chen on Netflix's, was part of the original  Broadway cast, playing Gretchen alongside Erika Henningsen (Cady), Taylor Louderman (Regina), Barrett Wilbert Weed (Janis), Grey Henson (Damian) and Kate Rockwell (Karen).

Peaky Blinders co-producer Tiger Aspect has a new managing director in Lucy Bedford, and has hired Gabriel Silver for a senior scripted role.

Naman Ramachandran Banijay company Tiger Aspect has promoted head of drama Lucy Bedford to managing director, reporting into Banijay U.K. CEO Patrick Holland. Bedford, who takes up her new role immediately, has appointed Gabriel Silver, previously director of commissioning, drama at Sky studios, as creative director,  drama. Bedford will be responsible for the creative leadership of the business, working closely with head of comedy, David Simpson and Silver, to build the slate of the scripted indie whose credits include “Peaky Blinders,” “Bad Education,” “Domina,” “Man Like Mobeen” and the upcoming “Three Little Birds.”

Katie Price's 20 year old son, Harvey, has allegedly been the subject of “inappropriate and derogatory” images shared by a number of Metropolitan Police officers in a WhatsApp group chat.The 44-year-old model and TV personality shared an image of a letter detailing the alleged misconduct on her Instagram story on Friday, which said that the offending officers will be subject to a Gross Misconduct hearing which starts today, Monday 20 February. In the letter, which was addressed to Katie and dated 26 January, an investigator from the Discrimination Investigation Unit within the Professional Standards Department of the Met Police informed her that “a number of Metropolitan Police officers are alleged to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in regards to Discreditable Conduct for being part of a WhatsApp group chat that has posted inappropriate and derogatory images of your son, Harvey Price”.

Katie Price has revealed the emotional toll on her family after being contacted by the Metropolitan Police to inform her that officers had been sharing ‘inappropriate’ content about her son Harvey Price.  The My Crazy Life star, 44, was left ‘disgusted’ after learning of the ‘derogatory’ messages, including images, which were allegedly posted by Met Police officers on Whatsapp between 2016 and 2018.  Harvey, 20, is Katie’s eldest son and has Prader-Willi syndrome, a genetic condition resulting in obesity, and Septo-Optic Dysplasia, which affects sight and the development of the brain.
