Outlander actor Sam Heughan is on the hunt for more Agave, and fans believe they know the reason why.
The Dumfries born actor, who is best known for his role as Jamie Fraser on the hit Starz historical fantasy show, also has a talent for making drinks. In December 2021, Heughan released his own brand of tequila, Sassenach tequila, following the success of his whisky which launched in 2020, under the same Sassenach brand.
Now, the 42-year-old has shared snaps in Mexico as he is 'in the search of Agave' and fans believe that he is making more of his successful tequila. Heughan created the Sassenach Select Double Wood Reposado tequila after being inspired by a trip to Mexico, and realising that we don't have the same appreciation for the spirit in the UK.
Fans were quick to ask the TV favourite about his journey in the comments section. One person asked: "WHY? Why are you in search of agave?" as another wrote excitedly: "Ooooo are you making more Tequila."
Other followers had the same thought process. A third wrote: "In Tequila Town Sam? @samheughan Enjoy your search!," as a fourth said: "Another Sassenach product in the works? @samheughan?"
Speaking to Forbes about the launch last year, Heughan said: "A couple of years ago, pre-Covid, we went to visit [Mexico]. I had very little experience with tequila. I think especially in the UK, we’re quite far behind the rest of the world in our appreciation for it. I was just completely blown.
"My eyes were opened the whole experience. We went to Tequila Town. We met Tony Salles, we met the whole family, Tequileño. Just to discover the whole process and the history and the heritage behind it. What was really fun was that we took our whisky with us.
"We were just launching. In fact,
